    Oceanogràfic in Valencia

    During our last trip to Valencia, we had the chance to visit the Oceanographic, Europe’s largest aquarium containing representatives of the world’s major marine ecosystems (more than 45,000 different examples of 500 marine species). The complex, which is impressive in design and size, was created by the architect Felix Candela and the structural engineers Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro. The water park is divided into ten areas and each building is identified with the following aquatic environments: the Mediterranean, the Swamp, Tropical and Temperate Seas, Oceans, Antarctica, the Arctic, Islands, and the Red Sea, as well as the Dolphinarium with 24 million litres of water and a depth of 10.5…
